DESCRIPTION

1st day Arrival in Lima (154 masl)
Arrival at Lima's international airport in the afternoon or night. Meeting with our personnel, transfer and lodging in hotel (private service, English-speaking assistant). Overnight.

2nd day Lima / Nasca (588 masl)
Breakfast in hotel. Morning is at leisure. Transfer to the station to take the bus to Nasca (km. 450, schedule could changes: 13.30/21.00). At the arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

3rd day Nasca / San Fernando / Nasca
Breakfast in hotel. With an adequate 4x4 vehicle go across the arid desert to make the first stop to see Ocongalla's pre-Incan aqueduct. Continue travelling to reach the pre-Incan Sanctuary-City of Cahuachi. Then, head to the dunes at Usaca where travelers will practice sandboarding. After that, continue travelling until reaching the Pacific Ocean, and arriving at the paradisiacal destination of Punta San Fernando. The many difficulties the entrance and exit roads present allow the abundant and varied fauna to inhabit the cliffs and beaches being fearless to human presence. The Condor, which comes from the Andes, flies so low that one can almost touch it with one's hands. There are also hundreds of sea lions and Humboldt penguins in the cliffs and beaches watching the visitors with no fear whatsoever. Thousands of birds of the most varied species fly along the coast diving in the water to capture their prey. Box lunch included. In the afternoon, return to Nasca (closed 4x4 transportation or open buggy, private, professional driver and English-speaking guide). Overnight.

4th day Nasca / Abancay (2.377 masl)
Breakfast in hotel. Departure to Abancay (9-hour journey, Km. 443) (private service, without guide, only Spanish-speaking driver). During the trip, visit to Pampas Galeras National Reserve (3.900mt) to match thousands of vicuñas, alpacas and llamas pasturing next to the highway. Box lunch included. Arrival at Abancay and lodging in the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

5th day Abancay / Cusco (3.399 masl)
Breakfast in hotel. Departure to Cusco (4.30-hour journey, Km. 197) (private service, without guide, only Spanish-speaking driver), box lunch included. On the way, it is possible to visit the fascinating Inca ruins of Saywite (sanctuary dedicated to worshipping water) and Tarawasi (an Incan administrative center) (with Spanish guidance by the local guarders if they are available – entrances are not includes). Arrival at Cusco in the afternoon and lodging in the hotel. Overnight.

6th day Cusco (half day horseback riding)
Breakfast in hotel. In the morning, transfer from Cusco to the Paucarbamba Bridge (2.900mt/9.510ft), where we expect the horses. The ride begins (1.30h) to cross the Urubamba River with spectacular views of peaks, agricultural terraces and the Inca Trail. The tour ends at the Inca Bridge, where we expect the transport to take us back to Cusco (private service, English-speaking guide). Afternoon is at leisure. Overnight.

7th day Cusco / Sacred Valley of the Incas (full day rafting) (2.846 masl)
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer from Cusco to Pachas community in the Sacred Valley, where we will receive the rafting equipment and a safety briefing. After a little practice, we begin our journey through calm waters, while admiring spectacular views and archaeological remains. Then begin to experience class II and III rapids to end in "the slide", a strong class III that includes waves and small whirlpools. After the tour, you will have lunch at a traditional restaurant located on the banks of the river and managed by the local community. Finally, return to the Sacred Valley (private service, English-speaking guide). Overnight.
Note: For security reasons from mid-April to mid-December, we traverse the section of Ollantaytambo, and from mid-December to mid-April, Urcos-Piñipampa section, south of Cusco.

8th day Sacred Valley of the Incas (cycling)
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Cruzpata, in the highlands of Maras, to start the voyage (4h) with beautiful views of Andean peaks, cactus plantations and Andean towns. After a box lunch in Moray, we continue our journey through a dirt road to Maras, where we stop in the salt mines. We end the tour in Pichingoto, to take the shuttle back to the hotel (private service, English-speaking guide). Rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Overnight.

9th day Sacred Valley of the Incas / Aguas Calientes (2.060 masl)
Breakfast In hotel. Transfer to the trailhead by train. The first archaeological site to visit is Chachabamba (2.250mt/7.380ft), showing an architectural beauty in the same valley. Then gradually ascend (3h) to the fascinating Huiñay Huayna (2.650mt/8.695ft), where you will taste a box lunch. After a break, continue the expedition by the semi-tropical forest towards the mystical Intipunku (Sun Gate), place where you will enjoy the first panoramic view of the enigmatic citadel of Machu Picchu surrounded by mountains covered with vegetation, rivers and valleys. From here, descend (30min) to the top of the citadel to rest and take pictures. Then, take the bus to Aguas Calientes for dinner and overnight (private service, English-speaking guide).

10th day Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu / Cusco
Breakfast in hotel. Depart on the first bus to Machu Picchu (2.430mt/7.970ft) to enjoy the sunrise in this magical place and take a guided tour (3h). In the afternoon, descend to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco (private service, English-speaking guide). Overnight.
The travel ticket, allows the transport clients and their hand luggage (01 bag or backpack) with a weight of no more than 05kg/11lb and with a maximum size of 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + height + width ), with the cars intended for this purpose.
We will take the luggage from the Sacred Valley to the hotel in Cusco.

11th day Cusco / Puno (3.827 masl)
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to station to take the touristic bus to Puno, lunch buffet at Sicuani (km. 380, schedule could changes: 08.00/17.00) (collective service, Spanish/English-speaking guide). Along the way, visit the chapel of Andahuaylillas, the Raqchi ruins and the Pukara Museum. At Puno, transfer and lodging in the hotel. Overnight.

12th day Puno / Titicaca Lake / Puno
Breakfast in hotel. Full day excursion to Titicaca Lake visiting the Uros floating islands and Taquile Island, lunch at Taquile (collective service, Spanish/English-speaking guide). Overnight in hotel in Puno.

13th day Puno / Sillustani / Lampa / Lima
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport of Juliaca to take the flight to Lima. During the transfer, visit to the necropolis of Sillustani and the traditional town of Lampa (private service, English-speaking guide). At the arrival, meeting with our personnel and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

14th day Departure from Lima
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport at the proper time for departure (passengers are requested to be at the airport 3 hours before international flight).
