1st day Arrival in Lima (154 masl)
Arrival at Lima's international airport in the afternoon or night. Meeting with our personnel, transfer and lodging in hotel (private service, English-speaking assistant). Overnight.

2nd day Lima / Iquitos (105 masl)
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Iquitos. At the arrival, meeting with our personnel and transfer by speed boat on the Amazon (45min), the world's largest river, towards Amazonas Sinchicuy Lodge. At the arrival, lodging in the lodge. Then, short hike or canoe ride to Nuevo Perú, where Yagua community has established, to get contact with their customs see their unique apparel made of palm fibers and even try their “pucuna” or blowgun. Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, ethno-botanic excursion by foot to identify species of the Amazon plant kingdom and visit to the local shaman who will explain about the marvelous healing properties and use of some of these plants and roots. Then excursion to visit the farmlands of Santa María del Ojeal to visit the sugar cane squeeze, the fruit orchard, the fish culture pond, see the Amazon breed cattle and artisanal dugout canoe fishing performed on the river by locals. In the evening, nocturnal hike or canoe ride to discover the awesome world of night insects, cicadas, spiders, praying mantis, or listen to the owls and pootos. Dinner and overnight.

3rd day Iquitos
Early morning (05.30am), short birdwatching excursion. Breakfast. Transfer by speedboat to the opposite site of the Amazon River to walk on tropical rainforest rail and then to take a boat or canoe on the Yanayacu River to reach the Tambo Yanayacu Lodge, located in the “Kingdom of the Giant Trees”. Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, trek to oxbow lake where it is possible to find the Horned Screamer (Anhima cornuta), eye-catching bird species that feeds on aquatic flora. In the evening, hike or canoe ride. Dinner and overnight.

4th day Iquitos
Early morning (05.30am), short birdwatching excursion. Breakfast. Hike to Yagua Cocha. Long walk following the jungle used by the people that live in this area to reach one of the largest and most beautiful lakes.
Here you can also spot the Hoatzin or “shansho” bird (Opisthocomus hoatzin) and if you wish, you may practice native-style fishing onboard a dugout canoe. Box lunch (client request the cook to prepare what you might have fished). Return to the Tambo Yanayacu and be part of the reforestation program activity Plant-a-Tree in an area near the lodge. Dinner and overnight.

5th day Iquitos / Lima
Breakfast at the Lodge. Excursion to visit an Amazon River village. Transfer to Amazon Sinchicuy Lodge to have lunch. Then, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima. At the arrival, meeting with our personnel and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

6th day Lima / Cusco
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cusco. At the arrival, meeting with our personnel and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, excursion to visit the historical center (fee entrance to the Cathedral and Santo Domingo/Coricancha are included) and the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay (collective service, Spanish/English-speaking guide). Overnight.

7th day Cusco / Sacred Valley (2.846 masl) / Cusco
Breakfast in hotel. Full day excursion to visit the Pisaq market and the Ollantaytambo fortress (collective service, Spanish/English-speaking guide), lunch buffet included. After visit, return to Cusco. Overnight.

8th day Cusco / Machu Picchu (2.400 masl) / Cusco
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Poroy's station to take the Vistadome train (almost 3.30-hour journey – 1st class, subject to availability) to Machu Picchu town. At the arrival, transfer by public bus to the archaeological complex to visit Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, transfer to the station on foot to take the Vistadome train to Poroy (almost 3.30-hour journey – 1st class, subject to availability). At Poroy, transfer to Cusco (30m) and lodging in the hotel (collective service, Spanish/English-speaking guide). Overnight.

9TH day Cusco / Lima
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima. At the arrival, meeting with our personnel and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the historical centre (fee entrance to the Cathedral and San Francisco Convent are included) and the Larco Museum (private service, English-speaking guide). Overnight.

10th day Departure from Lima
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport at the proper time for departure (passengers are requested to be at the airport 3 hours before international flight).

  NOTE: In Lima, in/out transfers will be assisted by our Spanish-speaking driver, except for the international arrival transfer, which is always attended by our Spanish/English-speaking personnel.
