1st day Arrival in Lima (154 masl)
Arrival at Lima's international airport in the afternoon or night. Meeting with our personnel, transfer and lodging in hotel (private service, English-speaking assistant). Overnight.
2nd day Lima / Cusco (3.399 masl)
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cusco. At the arrival, meeting with our personnel and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, excursion to visit the historical center (fee entrance to the Cathedral and Santo Domingo/Coricancha are included) and the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay (collective service, Spanish/English-speaking guide). In the evening, dinner at Chicha Restaurant owned by the famous Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio. Overnight.
3rd day Cusco / Valle Sacra (2.846 masl) / Cusco
Breakfast in hotel. Day dedicated to the pachamanca (7h) (private services, English-speaking guide): Transfer to a local market located in Urubamba. From the marketplace, passengers will be transferred to our lunch spot near Ollantaytambo, where they will meet their cooks that will teach them how to elaborate a traditional Pachamanca. After helping preparing the ingredients and placing them under ground and have to wait for a while, passengers will enjoy a Mother earth or Pachamama ceremony, which is a worshiping mother Earth and thanking her for the food they will eat. Then the Pachamanca will be opened and dishes will be served. After lunch, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight.
4th day Cusco / Machu Picchu (2.400 masl) / Cusco
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Poroy's station to take the Vistadome train (almost 3.30-hour journey â 1st class, subject to availability) to Machu Picchu town. At the arrival, transfer by public bus to the archaeological complex to visit Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, transfer to the station on foot to take the Vistadome train to Poroy (almost 3.30-hour journey â 1st class, subject to availability). At Poroy, transfer to Cusco (30m) and lodging in the hotel (collective service, Spanish/English-speaking guide). In the evening, dinner at MAP Café. Overnight.
5th day Cusco / Lima
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima. At the arrival, meeting with our personnel and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the historical center (fee entrance to the Cathedral and San Francisco Convent are included) and the residential zone (private service, English-speaking guide). In the evening, dinner and folk show at Nuevo Perú Restaurant. Overnight.
6th day Departure from Lima
Breakfast in hotel. Transfer from the hotel (9:45am) to the colonial and bohemian quarter of Barranco to visit a small shop of artisan roasting coffee where every day, best-quality beans are selected to produce the best Peruvian organic coffee in town. Following this, we will visit a secret garden to try a lucuma milkshake right underneath the tree that bears this fruit. We will then go to a traditional marketplace in the San Isidro district to try some local fruits and know about their influence in the international cuisine development. The following stop is at the Embarcadero 41 Restaurant, one of the best ceviche spots located in the Miraflores district. Here, you will have the opportunity to prepare Pisco sour with a professional bartender, and will discover the secrets for a perfect ceviche by preparing it along with the main chef. Our last stop will be at the Huaca Pucllana for a gourmet Peruvian lunch. Finally, after our five-hour tour, we will transfer back to the hotel (private service, English-speaking guide). Transfer to the airport at the proper time for departure (passengers are requested to be at the airport 3 hours before international flight).
