ITINERARY

Arrival at Lima’s international airport in the afternoon or night. Meeting with our personnel, transfer and lodging in hotel (private service, English-speaking assistant). Overnight.

Breakfast in hotel. In the morning, historical center (entrance fees to the Cathedral and Santo
Domingo/Coricancha are included) and transfer to the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay (private service, English-speaking guide). Afternoon is at leisure. Overnight.

Breakfast in hotel. Departure to Machu Picchu driving up to the mountain pass of Malaga (4,200mt -13,860ft.).
From where, drop 2,400 mts-7500 ft until Santa Maria Village at the Amazon cloud forest and located in the back side of Machu Picchu area (3 hours driving by an amazing Puna and cloud forest landscape). In the way, stop at Salaspunku Inca site. Continue then the trip during 20 minutes until arrive to Maranura. Here, after having lunch, transfer to start the river rafting experience: after receiving the instructions, 2-hour rafting trip by a tropical river with class 3 rapids. In the take out, change clothes and board the car to return to Maranura. Then, have a Cacao tour to see and taste the different varieties of this plant (private service, English-speaking guide). Dinner at the lodge. Overnight.

Breakfast in hotel. Depart on shuttle bus to Machu Picchu (2.430mt/7.970ft) to enjoy the sunrise in this magical place and take a guided tour (2-3h). In the afternoon, descend to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. Upon arrival, transfer to Cusco (shared service, English-speaking guide). Overnight.

The travel ticket, allows the transport clients and their hand luggage (01 bag or backpack) with a weight of no more than 05kg/11lb and with a maximum size of 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + height + width), with the cars intended for this purpose. We will take the luggage from the Sacred Valley to the hotel in Cusco.

Note: 2-day Inka trail shared service needs 3 pàx to confirm the departure. Neverthelees, we can open a departure with 2 pax 2 months before the departure. Less than 2 months, it is not possible to open a departure with 2 pax.

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to station to take the touristic bus to Puno, lunch buffet at Sicuani (km. 380, schedule could change: 08.00/17.00) (shared service, Spanish/English-speaking guide). Along the way, visit the chapel of Andahuaylillas, the Raqchi ruins, and the Pukara Museum. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

10.00 Visit the Uros floating islands
13.00 Lunch in lodge
15.00 Visit the Titicaca National Reserve
16.00 Fishing: accompanied by the local, nets will be laid in the lake

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Juliaca’s airport to take the flight to Lima (private service, English-speaking guide).

    NOTE: In Lima, in/out pax will be assisted by our Spanish-speaking driver, except for the international arrival transfer, which is always attended by our English-speaking personnel.

    o Briefing: one day before the hike.

    ▪ Expedition-class train from Ollantaytambo to the trailhead at Km. 104.
    ▪ Bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes.
    ▪ Return bus transportation between Aguas Calientes and Machu Picchu.
    ▪ Expedition-class train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo.
    ▪ Return in a minibus from Ollantaytambo train station to Cusco.
    o Food: We serve highly nutritious food on the hike so that you can quickly recover your energy along the way. We can accommodate special dietary needs, including vegetarian, allergies, and diabetes, among others. Please advise us of any special dietary needs at the time of reservation.
    o Professional guides: Our guides are fluent in English and have five to twelve years of experience in different hikes of the region. They are skilled at managing groups under pressure and are experts at first aid and rescue techniques. The majority of them come from different Andean communities and bring with them their cultural heritage. Along with the rest of the field team, our guides will make your journey a unique experience.
    o Emergency Equipment: Satellite telephones, medical assistance by satellite calling, radios with 10km range and 8 frequencies, first aid kit (we carry a full complement of over-the-counter medication, including alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, tincture of iodine, germicidal soap, cotton, gauze, bandages, adhesive medical tape, surgical gloves, analgesics for muscle and stomach pain, antipyretics, anti-allergy medication, anti-inflammatories, oral rehydration salts, laxatives, burn cream, splints, blood pressure measuring devices, and thermometers)
